PEOPLE'S CHOICE VOTING
When is the TSB Bank People's Choice voting period?
Voting for the TSB Bank People's Choice awards opens on 12:01am Monday, August 17 and will run through to 11:59pm Sunday, September 13.
Why am I only allowed one vote?
To make this fair, we have decided that each person is only allowed to cast one vote in support of their People's Choice winner.
When will the winner know they have won?
The winner of the .People's Choice Award will be announced at the national ceremony.
Why do I need to log in to vote?
This is how we are able to monitor and inforce the one vote per person rule.
I voted, and then changed my mind, am I able to change my vote?
No, once your vote has been made, you are unable to change it.
I see TSB Bank are giving the winner $10,000 towards their cause - what if the finalist doesn't have a 'cause' as such?
In that case (Bravery & Heroism for example) TSB Bank will work with the finalist to decide how that money is spent to benefit their community - they might like to donate it to the local surf life saving club or to pay for swimming lessons at the local school.. or any other way that will benefit their community.
My partner and I share an email address, can we vote more than once?
Unfortunately, we need a unique email address for each vote.
Can you tell if the email addresses are genuine?
Yes we can.
When is the nomination period?
The nominations for The Pride of New Zealand 2015 Awards open on 12:01am Monday, May 4 and will run through to 11:59pm Sunday, June 14.
Will I know if I have been nominated?
Should your nomination meet the Rules of Entry and criteria, and is shortlisted by our panel, we will contact you by phone or email to ask for your consent to participate in The Pride of New Zealand Awards.
When will I know who has been nominated?
The public won’t know everyone who has been nominated, so if you’re thinking the nominee you have in mind might already have been nominated, it’s better for them to receive two nominations than none at all.
Are there any age restrictions?
There are no age restrictions, New Zealanders of any age are eligible to be nominated, and all New Zealanders are able to nominate.
Can I nominate someone more than once?
You cannot nominate the same person more than once. If we decide that the nominee you have put forward it better suited to another category we will make that change on your behalf.
Can I nominate a group?
Yes, you can nominate a group of between 2 – 10 people.
How will I know my nomination has been received?
After completing the nomination form, you will be taken to a Thank You page – this is confirmation that your nomination has been received.
Can I nominate someone who has received an award in a different award programme?
Yes, if your nominee fits the criteria and has already won an Award in another programme, you are still able to nominate them for Pride of New Zealand.
What happens after I make a nomination?
When nominations close a shortlist of candidates will be developed. If your nominee is shortlisted they will be contacted either by phone or email, to advise them of their nomination and to confirm their permission to continue.
